The following is an announcement from our Zunia colleagues. Zunia is a knowledge sharing space among development practitioners worldwide.
We are proud to announce that the Open Development Technology Alliance (ODTA) launched its new portal ODTA.NET a knowledge platform aiming to give voice to citizens and improve accountability by offering ways to provide feedback on public services.
ODTA aims to enhance accountability and improve the delivery and quality of public services through technology-enabled citizen engagement. The ODTA is an initiative of The World Bank, anchored by the World Bank Institute, the Social Development Department and the ICT Sector Unit of The World Bank.
ODTA.net is a knowledge platform aiming to give voice to citizens and improve accountability by offering ways to provide feedback on public services. It provides knowledge products, links experts with projects and facilitates the development of and dissemination of information and communications technology (ICT) tools. This will help to make governments more accountable for the public services they provide. ODTA provides direct support to World Bank operations to ensure that the lessons learned, communities engaged, and experience from tools deployed can be used to inform others around the world with similar needs.
ODTA.net replaces opendta.org and leverages the Zunia platform to allow users to share events, news, stories, and general posts about the use and impact of technologies to improve public service delivery.
It's easy to contribute content - ideas, news, stories, files, and events - to ODTA.net. You can log in - either by creating a new account or by using your LinkedIn account - using the link in the top blue "Zunia" bar. Once logged in, simply click "Contribute New Post" and share your event, story or news post.
