Karen A. Grépin's research focuses on the economics and politics of health services in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on priority setting in health systems, factors affecting the demand and supply of maternal health services, and the effectiveness of development assistance for health.  She is currently studying institutional and behavioral constraints to the uptake of key maternal and child health services, with active field studies in Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda.
