Background
Jacob came to William & Mary as an undergraduate in 2019 to study geology. During that time, they worked at the Studio for Teaching & Learning Innovation as a student partner and began work at AidData as a research assistant.
Outside of AidData, Jacob is deeply involved with open mapping efforts in the U.S. They co-founded MapRVA, a group that promotes community mapping projects in Richmond. Jacob contributes to OpenStreetMap (OSM), and regularly presents their work at national OSM conferences.
