AidData TUFF Internship Summer 2025

Description:

Research Assistants will play a key role in assembling the world's most comprehensive dataset on Chinese official financial flows. Work will include but is not limited to: identifying new Chinese financing, scraping government documents, and collecting geospatial information. Your work will assist policymakers at partner institutions to better understand the scale and scope of development and commercial finance from nontraditional donors.

The starting pay rate is $12.50 per hour. Experienced RAs are eligible for promotions and corresponding pay increases up to $15.50/hr.

Training will be conducted beginning June 10th, the position start date.  

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

All interns must be based in the U.S. in Summer 2025 to be hired.

Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome to apply to the internship. Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus, especially in Chinese, Spanish, French, and Arabic. The best TUFF Research Assistants are those with solid writing skills, strong time management, and the ability to extract key information from extensive sources. Unfortunately we cannot consider graduating seniors for this position.

Research Assistants (RAs) are expected to work for 30 hours per week during the Summer term.
