Wanqi (Angie) Zhu is a Junior Data Analyst in AidData’s Research & Evaluation Unit. She supports the team in creating household and village-level surveys, overseeing fieldwork, cleaning data, and conducting data analysis. Her responsibilities also include award management for randomized controlled trials, geospatial impact evaluations (GIEs), and other research projects.

Background
Prior to joining AidData, Angie graduated summa cum laude from Mount Holyoke College and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She developed a mixed-methods research project to explore the way Chinese students interpret, acquire, and use cultural markers to navigate the status-laden process of choosing majors. She also has experience collecting field data pertaining migrant children and their families in the Yangtze River Delta in China.
