Ana Horigoshi is a Research Scientist in AidData's Policy Analysis Unit (PAU), where she conducts policy-oriented quantitative analysis of a number of development topics. Her primary research interests are governance, political economy, and development financing.

Prior to joining AidData, Ana completed her PhD in Economics at Université Paris-Dauphine/PSL. Her thesis focused on the impacts of foreign aid on different aspects of governance in developing countries. During her graduate studies, she served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate introductory economics and graduate political economy of international development at Science Po Paris. Previously Ana has worked for UNU-WIDER, the World Bank, and the European Commission on a variety of development topics.
