For our first usage update we thought we would keep it simple and provide some of the raw numbers around GeoQuery usage to date.

Data Requests: >33,000

Users: >7,000

Organizations: >1,500

Academic citations: >100 (Google Scholar)

To support this usage, GeoQuery has performed over 15 million zonal statistics operations. And that’s just at the dataset level. If we consider each feature (e.g., an admin zone such as an individual district in a country) as a separate operation, then we have performed around 20 billion operations on the latest boundary versions alone.
