Launch of the 2023 Development Co-operation Report, "Debating the Aid System"
The OECD Development Co-operation Report 2023, "Debating the Aid System," looks at the need for a fundamental rethinking of the international aid system, and gathers fresh reflections on systemic barriers to inclusive development from leaders in the Global South, activists, development experts, and others. It highlights the urgency to scale up and spend official development assistance to combat crises and advance towards development goals.
Please join us for this launch event that will bring together high-level government representatives, leaders of multilateral institutions, development agencies, civil society, experts and authors to take stock of debates about the aid system and discuss how the OECD can help the international community to boost the relevance and impact of development co-operation.
AidData contributed a chapter to the report based on our survey and analysis of what nearly 7000 leaders from 141 countries look for in their preferred global development partners.
