This dataset includes all geocoded projects from the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo’s Aid Information Management System (AIMS), which is called the Aid Management Platform (AMP), or Plateforme de Gestion de l'Aide et des Investissements (PGAI) in French. The AMP was first implemented in DRC in 2007 through a partnership between the Ministry of Planning (Ministère du Plan, in French) and a technical provider, Development Gateway (DG). The geocoded data were collected through direct engagement by DG and AidData with the Ministry and the country offices of its development partners, which submitted the locational information for their projects. This dataset tracks $4,376,568,942.11 in commitments for 256 projects across 1,750 locations between 1998 and 2014.
