Mike Tierney is the George and Mary Hylton Professor of Government and International Relations at the College of William & Mary, and co-directs the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations. His interests include international organizations, international relations theory, political economy of development and institutions, and foreign aid.
Martin Steinwand is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Stony Brook University. He received his PhD from the University of Rochester in April, 2010. His research interests include international political institutions, foreign aid, civil war, and spatial econometrics. His work examines the conditions under which donors coordinate the provision of foreign aid, how volatility of aid flows affects political stability in recipient countries, and network aspects of civil war.
