Media-based data collection (MBDC) methodologies are used in social science to collect information from those in the private and civil society sectors, media and academia into a comprehensive source of project-level information. AidData is pioneering the extension of MBDC methodology to better understand the activities of DAC and non-DAC development partners. Using media-based data collection, AidData harnesses diversified information sources to create more detailed datasets.
